Custom Domain Instructions

As a Pika Pro, you can connect your own custom domain to your Pika site. Here are instructions for some of the most common DNS providers. (Don’t forget to start by visiting Settings and clicking on the Add a custom domain link.)

Cloudflare

Be sure to turn off Cloudflare’s domain proxying feature during the setup process. Once your domain is set up with Pika, you can turn the domain proxying feature back on.

Set up a CNAME record for example.com (Cloudflare documention, which confusingly only talks about A records):

  • Name: enter “@”
  • Target/Value: pika.page

Set up a CNAME record for www.example.com (Cloudflare documention):

  • Name: enter “www”
  • Target/Value: pika.page

dnsimple

Set up an ALIAS record for example.com:

  • Name: leave it blank
  • Content: pika.page

Set up a CNAME record for www.example.com:

  • Name: www
  • Answer: pika.page

GoDaddy

Set up an A record for example.com (GoDaddy documention):

  • Name: enter “@”
  • Value: 216.24.57.1

Set up a CNAME record for www.example.com (GoDaddy documention):

  • Name: www
  • Value: pika.page

Hover

Set up an A record for example.com:

  • Host: enter “@”
  • Value: 216.24.57.1

Set up a CNAME record for www.example.com:

  • Host: enter “www”
  • Value: pika.page

Porkbun

Set up an ALIAS record for example.com:

  • Host: leave it blank
  • Answer: pika.page

Set up a CNAME record for www.example.com:

  • Host: www
  • Answer: pika.page
